If you live in South Puget Sound, you already know just how special this region is. We are in the shadow of Mt Rainier, and surrounded by forests of magnificent trees. We also have numerous small hobby farms, with a few small commercial farms as well.
In beekeeping there is an expression that says, "All beekeeping is local", because the environment has a profound impact on the bees. It also contains all the resources bees use to make honey and honeycomb. Honey from various regions has its own unique flavors.
Because we live here, the best honey for us to eat is local honey. It contains the pollen and nectar from the area, which in turn is what helps us develop resistance to allergies and strengthens our immune system.
Our honey is also raw. It has not been pasteurized, overly processed or heated. When you get local raw honey, you are getting honey that tastes the way the Lord intended for it to taste.
